To be eligible for nomination the nominee must be a member of the Trust or an officer of a corporate member of the Trust.

Only National Trust members (ie, a current honorary convenantor, Life member covenantor, or a financial member) or an officer of a Corporate Member of the National Trust may nominate, be nominated, and vote in the elections. Eligible National Trust members may put themselves forward for consideration, and do not need to provide a nominator.
Financial memberships must be current at 23 December 2021 and not expire before 31 March 2022 to be eligible to nominate, be nominated, and vote. It will be the candidates responsibility to ensure that both they, and their nominator are current financial members.
Candidate profiles and photos
- Candidate profile statements must not exceed 200 words (excluding the candidate's name);
- be confined to information concerning the candidate, and the candidate's policies and intentions if elected to the Board;
- comply with any prescribed requirements i.e. be generated from a Microsoft Word document that is spell checked and word counted.
Photo must also be provided electronically (scanned as a .jpeg at 300 dpi and attached to an email).
Photos must be a head and shoulders shot of the candidate only, with no hats, sunglasses, pets or other people visible.
